Kathryn Kuhmerker is the President of The Kuhmerker Consulting Group, LLC and the former Medicaid Director of New York State. Her responsibilities include advising clients within the areas of pay-for-performance programs, health care for the uninsured, long term care, and the management and implementation of government operated programs in other fields.
Ms. Kuhmerker has over twenty years of experience as a senior manager and director leading New York State programs and agencies including those in the Health, Medicaid, Housing, Energy and Transportation areas. Ms. Kuhmerker previously served on the Executive Committee for the National Association of State Medicaid Directors. She was the President and Treasurer of the Gifts of Time Charitable Foundation in Schenectady, NY. Ms. Kuhmerker earned her bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a master’s in Business Administration from Union College. She has served on the HSCSN Board since March 2019.
