Ms. Barnett-Jones has been affiliated with Children’s National for the past sixteen years. She co-chaired the launch of the Parent & Family Advisory Council and continues to be active in the Children’s Hospital Foundation fundraising efforts, as well as the Children’s Miracle Network. Ms. Barnett-Jones is a Director at Visa, Inc., where she is responsible for managing the development of Visa operating regulations and waivers for the US market.

Ms. Barnett-Jones received her B.A. in Economics with a minor in Management & Organizational Behavior from Spelman College, a MBA from Howard University, a Certificate in Information Technology from the George Washington University, and is currently a candidate for a master’s in health care administration at the University of Maryland. She and her husband, Kevin, have three children: Cameron, Kendall and Olivia Grace, one of which has long-term/lifelong health issues.

Ms. Barnett-Jones currently sits on the Children’s National Bearacuda Board and the American Hospital Association’s Board. The Bearacuda Board oversees CN’s offshore captive insurance company, which was created to manage risk, promote safety and optimize our access to the excess insurance markets.  Previously, and as a CN Board Director, she was an involved member of the enterprise risk and compliance committee. She also Chaired CN Hospital Board for 5 years with oversight of: governance, hospital activities, and operations including inpatient and outpatient care, patient safety, and quality of care. All management committees roll up to this board (IRB, med exec, quality, ethics etc.).
