What is PALS?

Parent Advocate Leaders Group (PALS) is a network for parents and caregivers of children with special health care needs. During meetings, you’ll learn about resources that can help your child and share stories with other parents and caregivers. You’ll also participate in trainings conducted by HSCSN’s community partners that teach you about family rights, access to services for children with special health care needs, and how to use the health and educational systems.

Our enrollees give each other emotional support and understanding and share the knowledge and skills they’ve gained while caring for a child with special health care needs.

We provide transportation to meetings, child care and meals to HSCSN enrollees.

This is a program of the HSCSN’s Department of Family and Community Development (FCD).
